Add Order is a recommendation powered by customer data science, specifying the order in which products should be included in an assortment. It focuses on breadth of range over depth, to enable retailers to build Customer Centric assortments, which will help drive category growth in their stores and keep their customers happy.
Add Order assigns a value from 1 to nth product in a report. This value dictates the order in which products are selected for the recommended assortment. The product with Add Order value '1' is recommended as the most important product to be included in the assortment, while the last nth product is recommended as the least important.

What is the difference between Add Order Version 1 and Add Order Version 2?
Add Order Version 2 utilizes the same principles as the original Add Order Version 1 methodology, but has an adaptation applied, which puts more emphasis on fulfilling higher-level customer needs to ensure increased assortment breadth.
The strength of Add Order Version 2 lies in combining the science of substitutability and Customer Priority Score, and taking into account how the Customer Decision Tree is constructed to ensure better coverage of different Need States and First-Level Decision Nodes, even for the smallest assortments.
